The North Oxford Association Nighbourly help scheme is currently not running

Would you like a regular visitor for conversation or general companionship fo yourself or a family member?

Do you need help with shopping?

Do you need any help with household tasks, either regularly or one off instanceses?

 

If any of the above situations apply to you our Neighbourly Help service is here to help you. We have a team of volunteers who offer help to anyone living within the North Oxford area: central North Oxford, Jericho, Summertown, Cutteslowe & Wolvercote.

 

  • To use our service, phone the NOA Community Centre (01865 552295) any time between 10.00am and 3.45pm, Monday to Friday, or email Neighbour@northoxfordassociation.org.uk with details of your request.
  • Please contact us 4 working days in advance of any time sensitive requests to enable us to locate a suitable volunteer.
  • This service is free of charge and is run by NOA volunteers. 
  • we are no longer able to reliably provide transportation to medical appointments, however you can contact Red Arrow Transport on 01865 883488 volunteer transport to medical appointments

If you are interested in volunteering to support this scheme, please contact Joe Shuter at NOA or email neighbour@northoxfordassociation.org.uk. We will arrange for your DBS check and you can offer as much time as suits you. This may be visiting someone for regular visits or helping out on an occasional basis with shopping or driving someone to a doctor's appointment.
